After more than half a year of development and dyno testing, we are pleased to report that we have achieved all four goals.

Here’s the beauty:

Rick’s 6 plus header produces horsepower gains across the low and middle RPM ranges (where they are most needed), with a maximum gain of six horsepower at 6200 RPM (just about square on the point of VTEC engagement). The range and magnitude of hp gains is comparable to the far more expensive Mugen header. Torque increases of about 3 or 4 were also achieved, along the same range as the horsepower gains. Like the Mugen header, horsepower with Rick’s 6 Plus header trails off at about 7600 RPM.

Rick’s 6 Plus Header weighs in at only 12.8 pounds, a major savings from the stock S2000 header. As originally planned, our 6 Plus header also features mounting points for the stock heat shield, an important feature for many owners concerned about managing the S2000’s high under-hood engine heat.
