Honda began supplying 2002 models sold in Japan with clear side markers. (even though cars bound for the US come with despised amber markers) For appearance and cleaner lines, many S2000 owners prefer to replace the stock amber side markers with clear markers, which have become the fashion in contemporary automotive design.

 

Given the difficulty of obtaining a reliable and sufficient supply of JDM clear sidemarkers, we sourced our own supply in the Far East and had a batch of 500 pairs specially manufactured for us. In addition, we had our markers manufactured from higher-grade plastic. Since we were having them made from scratch we thought we’d make some improvements. First, the interior of the marker is plated with a special plastic chrome, not spray-painted. So it’s more reflective. Second, we eliminated all the imprinting on the exterior surface of the lens, making it perfectly smooth.

Finally, we sourced special silver wedge bulbs that light amber when lit but are silver when off. These function just like the Philips SilverVision bulbs, but they are specially made wedge bulbs to fit the S2000. These side markers are exactly the same as the markers that come stock on the US cars, except they are clear. They will fit all model years.
